I fucking hate Christmas. I mean I despise it. Absolutely and completely abhor and resent it. It has become nothing but consumerist excess, greed and materialism. The spiritual or religious aspects of it, which are questionable to begin with, have been mostly pushed aside in favor of rabid commerce gone on a orgiastic feeding frenzy.

I have not blogged in a long time. Monday, I deactivated my facebook account. I wanted to stop using facebook, but knew that as long as my account was open, I'd go on there. So deactivating it was the only way to go. I have become uninterested in it and think it is really pretty sick. It's not much more than an online high school hallway. Anyone who I'm interested in maintaining contact with, and vice versa, know how to get hold of me. There are a few people that I'm not real close to that I will kind of miss chatting with online, but it's a small sacrifice to get away from the bullshit and tackiness of it all.
